Stash It!

I’ve had this dress for quite a while, it’s a gift from one of my friends for my debut ages ago and I never had the chance to wear it then, until now (or at least 2 months ago haha I have a looooot of backlogs). I’ve heard and read a lot of times before the saying that goes something like this: If an item is in your closet for a long period of time, chances are you’re never gonna use it—not exactly the same words, but you get the point. I’ve always disagreed with that thought, I honestly believe at one point, you’d get to find the proper season/ occasion to wear out whatever it is that’s stuck in your closet, who’s to say it won’t be in season in several months? Or that you’d never find the shoes or accessories that goes along with it? Every piece of clothing is worth stashing. ♥
Always Summer

(Flower Crown: Boracay, Bag: Victoria’s Secret, Sunnies: Landmark)
I miss the beach, and getaways, and relaxation. I know summer has officially ended and that most people are back to reality and that had I still been a student, I would’ve grunted like many others I know whose first day starts tomorrow, but since I’m not (and still part of the unemployed), I can still stay up till mornight and wake up at noon, and can still head to the beach (except nobody can accompany me anymore unless I head alone lol) but there’s just something about the term ‘summer’. It doesn’t matter if we live in a tropical country and its summer weather scorching hot ¾ of the year, the only time most people take a break and make an effort to head to the nearest pool/beaches is on summer, yeah? Sometimes I wish it was summer all year round, and then I realize that it is, we just don’t call it that. ♥
PhFW: Jag Origins

Sarah Meier hosted the event.

Janine Tugonon (and Bb. Pilipinas 2013 candidates – which I don’t have clear pictures of) graced the runway.
Aside from Jag Jeans’ denim show, three designers showcased pieces from their latest collections.

Norman Noriega’s creations.

Jeffrey Rogador’s creations.

Jerome Sayala Ang’s creations.

Boy Abunda came out after the fashion show to introduce and interview Marie Claire and Project Runway’s THE Nina Garcia.

I learned a lot from the forum. I can’t find an article that had everything she shared, but these two (link , link) has the most information and came the closest.

Afterwards, Nina answered questions from the audience and twitter.

The show ended with Nina walking down the runway.
It really was a night to remember. I look up to Nina Garcia, so just seeing her in flesh and hearing her talk about things she’s so passionate about was awe-inspiring. It wasn’t hard to miss from the way she spoke that she loves what she does. Could this woman get any more amazing? ♥

Take Me Away

My choice of travel/ flying clothes: laid back, but I still took into consideration the place we’re heading to (which was Boracay) so I opted for a comfy summery outfit.

I’ve always dreamt of going places ever since forever, and while I’ve never been outside the country yet, I’ve already gone and explored several tourist destinations in The Philippines. Another trip has been booked for the near future and some more are still in the process of planning, all still domestic, but hey, travel is travel and I would never pass up an opportunity to fly and see our country more. I’m very excited about them, I’m crossing my fingers that the plans pushes through. How about that—I’m a couple of steps back from being a tourist in my own country! ♥
